Being a boarding house kid requires one to be able to survive from a simple place to live and save a budget for everyday meals. Even though they have to be economical in many ways, boarding children still have to maintain their health by consuming healthy food.
One of them is processed seafood in the form of squid. So that food hygiene is maintained and the budget is cheaper, it's a good idea to cook it yourself.

1. Sour fried squid

- 1 tablespoon tamarind
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- sugar, to taste
- salt to taste

How to cook:
- Wash the squid using running water until clean. Marinate with salt and pepper. Leave it for about 10 minutes.
- Squeeze the tamarind with the addition of a little water, then throw away the dregs. Put it in the pan.
- Enter the squid, stir well. Cook until the water is slightly reduced.
- Pour the oyster sauce and add the chilies.
- Cook until the squid is cooked. After that, serve.
2. Squid stir fry

- 500 grams of fresh squid, cleaned, cut according to taste, add lime juice
- 4 cloves garlic
- turmeric, to taste
- ginger, to taste
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste

How to cook:
- Mix the squid with the spices. Store in the fridge for at least an hour.
- Heat the cooking oil. Add squid. Fry the squid until the color turns brown.
- Remove and serve with sambal lalapan according to taste.
3. Sauté cucumber squid

- 450 grams of squid
- 2 cucumbers
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- salt to taste
- sugar, to taste
- pepper, to taste
Grind seasoning:
- 3 shallots
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 curly chilies
How to cook:
- Wash the squid thoroughly. Cut round shape. Then cut the cucumber, remove the middle.
- Heat the cooking oil. Saute ground spices until fragrant. Add the squid pieces. Stir until the squid changes color.
- Add cucumber pieces. Pour oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, sprinkle a little salt, sugar and pepper.
- Cook until done with a big flame.
- Serve stir-fried squid after cucumber is cooked.
4. Saute spicy squid

- 400 grams of squid
- thick tamarind water, to taste
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 10 bird's eye chilies
- 1 knuckle turmeric thumb
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- pepper, to taste
- salt to taste
- sugar, to taste
- right amount of oil
How to cook:
- Wash the squid using water until clean. Wrinkles on the back. set aside.
- Grind the turmeric and garlic. Put them in a container. Mix with squid, ground spices, tamarind water, pepper, and salt.
- Heat the oil. Cook squid over high heat. When the water is reduced, pour in the cooking oil, oyster sauce, sugar, and the crushed bird's eye chilies.
- Cook until cooked and ready to serve.
5. Sweet squid in oyster sauce

- 200 grams of squid
- 4 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 clove of onion
- 1 cm ginger, crushed
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- sweet soy sauce, to taste
- ground pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
How to cook:
- Soak the squid in water that has been covered with newspaper or book paper for about 15 minutes. The goal is to reduce the salty taste of the squid.
- After that, wash the squid using running water until clean. Drain.
- Heat the cooking oil. Saute garlic until fragrant. Add ginger and onions. Stir briefly.
- Pour in oyster sauce and sprinkle with a little pepper. Add squid. Stir until the squid is half cooked.
- Add sugar little by little while continuing to stir. Pour in a little soy sauce.
- Stir again until the squid is cooked and all the spices are perfectly absorbed.
- Remove and serve wash the sweet oyster sauce.
