Chicken cooked with ginger is one of the typical Malaysian chicken preparations that is really delicious. It's salty, spicy, and has a hint of sweetness. Perfect to eat with a plate of warm rice.

Ingredients and how to make ginger cooking chicken

Materials:
- 1/2 chicken, cut into six parts
- 50 ml of water
- 5 red onions, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 3 curly red chilies, sliced obliquely
- 2 cm ginger, finely chopped
- 1 handful of green bird's eye chilies, remove the stalks and leave them whole
- 1 sachet of oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- powder broth to taste
- right amount of oil
Ground spices:
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1/2 cm turmeric
- salt to taste
How to make:
- Clean the chicken and drain. After that, coat the chicken with the ground spices until smooth and let stand a few moments for the spices to infuse.
- Heat the oil, then fry the chicken until cooked and golden brown. Lift and drain.
- Heat some more oil, then sauté the minced garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, ground pepper, curly red chilies, green bird's eye chilies, powdered stock, and water. Mix well.
- Next, add the fried chicken and stir again until smooth. Cook until the seasoning is absorbed and thickened.
- Add the shallots, then stir well and cook until wilted. Correct the taste and lift.
- Serve ginger cooked chicken with a plate of warm rice.
Cooking tips:
- Don't fry the chicken too dry, so the texture isn't tough. Simply fry until cooked, then remove immediately.
- If you like spicy, you can add more cayenne pepper according to taste.
- You can add chopped onions to make the aroma more fragrant.
