Materials:

  • 300 grams of rice flour
  • 125 grams of wheat flour
  • 1.5 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Sugar water ingredients:

  • 500 ml of coconut water
  • 250 grams of brown sugar, comb
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 2 pandan leaves, tie a knot
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Toppings:

  • 100 grams of half old coconut, grated
  • 1 pandan leaf
  • 1/2 tsp salt

How to make:

  1. Mix all the topping ingredients, then steam for 10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. Next, make a sugar water solution. Prepare a saucepan, then add coconut water, pandan leaves, brown sugar, granulated sugar and salt. Cook, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove and leave at room temperature until warm.
  3. In a bowl, stir together rice flour, wheat flour, instant yeast and baking powder until smooth. Pour the sugar water solution, then stir using a whisk until smooth.
  4. Prepare the mold, then brush a little with cooking oil. Place it in the steamer, then heat it for five minutes.
  5. Then, pour the mixture until it is 3/4 full. Steam the dough over high heat for 15 minutes. After that, use medium heat and cook for 15 minutes.
  6. Lift and remove from the mold. Serve while warm.

Cooking tips:

  1. You can add pandan leaves to the steamed cooking water, so that the steam is more fragrant.
  2. If you don't like sweet, you can reduce the use of sugar in the sugar water.
